Fall 2004 market talk
by David Albanese

Hello everyone,

Welcome to fall, my favorite time of the year and here in Western NYS the weather has been absolutely marvelous. As the coin world turns it seems to be keeping a steady course of collectors/investors looking for great coins. I truly believe that this will continue for some time to come. Now I can't say it will stay a potent as it's been recently and I must say my personal opinion is it's not really healthy to climb too fast out of control. First and foremost it chases the common every day collector out of the market and that's not a good thing as when all the investors are gone true blue collectors will always be there. I have always been an advocate of buying quality first and foremost! Over the years we have very quietly sold some of the most amazing Gems ever certified true "Coins for the Ages" including:
  • an 1907 EX High Relief PR68
  • 1804 $10 PR64 Cameo Capped Bust
  • 1838 PR65 $10 Liberty and many others
It has been the thrill of a lifetime just to handle and hold in my hands coins that are full of our American History, as we are just preserving these for future generations to come. We have just come back from a buying trip and have added some spectacular new treasures including a majestic 1862 MS67 Seated Half that is absolutely breathtaking and an awesome 1873 Arrows PF66 25c that will take your breath away. Also a great MS64 1856 Flying Eagle 1c along with many others. Be sure to check out our site and enjoy all the scans. Be sure to call us if you have any questions about any of our coins we enjoy talking to each and every one of you. Enjoy the fall and stay tuned for many other beautiful coins to come your way the rest of 2004.

Cheers,
