PCGS and NGC trusted most for rarities
by Dean Albanese

Greetings from Albanese Rare Coins, Inc.

The market still looks great and the new coin adventurers coming into the Coin Market seem to be never ending.

Atlanta is in two weeks and I am definitely going to that for the reason of the auctions. Morgans, attractive Morgans that is, seem to be moving. I've sold more then I have been able to put up at the webpage due to clientele want lists. I think it is always interesting when talking with clients to see what they love and what direction they want to go in when building their sets or portfolios. Some say, "I only buy PCGS coins" and some say "I only buy NGC coins" and the ones I love to hear because I agree are, "I buy the coin, not the holder, although the reality is I will only trust NGC and PCGS". Yes, this is a reality in the open market, and people should look at the coin before the holder. Especially when dealing with "rare" coins, this is because it truly is the coin that matters, if you know how to determine correct grades or are fortunate to trust and have a true Numismatist buy coins for you, then you are one of the lucky ones. Again, rare coins are hard to find and people buying them now who can are smart because there seems to always be a buyer for true rarities. I think when putting together an expensive portfolio you should agree with your "coin dealer" on a percentage from the get go and if your dealer does not agree then you should definitely move on to another. What have you to lose?

We have a lot of interesting new coins in inventory. Below are just a couple hand picked examples of some amazing specimens.
