Three reasons to use My Lists

For those of you kicking the tires this month, here are three good reasons to sign up and use My Lists.

1. Track your collection

Nostomania is the best deal on the web for collection tracking. You can keep track of your collection at no cost, and know the current value from pricing data based on actual sales. After all, whatever someone is willing to pay for it, that's what it's worth.

2. Lists that work for you

You may be aware that (also for free) on Nostomania, you can maintain Want lists and For Sale lists. Did you know you can specify the exact grade range you are looking for, and a price based on current value? For example, you can add Want list entries for:
  • Amazing Spider-Man 1, willing to pay 25% of current value in VG, 50% of current value in FN.
  • Mercury Dimes, willing to pay 60% of current value for any Full Bands issues in MS-65 or better.
Of course, you can specify an exact dollar amount too: "I'm willing to pay X dollars for item Y in grade Z". If any matches are found, an email notification is sent out, but there is never any obligation to buy anything.

3. It'll never happen to me

Do you think your collection is covered under your homeowner's insurance? Think again. If you call your agent, there's a good chance he/she will tell you "Oh sure, collectibles are covered, don't worry about it". But when that day comes (and for some of you, it will) when something bad happens, you'll get the details. A likely scenario: $500 deductible, $2,500 limit on collectibles, and you could be out thousands of dollars. The solution? Use My Lists to print out your collection, send it in to Collectibles Insurance Agency, and have the peace of mind knowing each item is documented and insured for its full current value.

Prizes

Don't forget, all you have to do is create a single Collection, Wantlist, or Salelist item during the appropriate month to qualify for our sweepstakes. Why not take a look and see what we're giving away (and gave away last month), free as always.

Thanks, we'll see you all next month.
