Pricing improvements

We have a nice enhancement this month for the Premium Subscribers - in the Pricing section, at the item detail level, you will now see separate pricing for all the supported grading services in each category, as well as uncertified pricing.

For the most part, there are no surprises. As you'd expect, sales of PCGS and NGC graded coins produce the highest values in that category, and sales of CGC graded comics and magazines produce the highest values in those categories.

If you see any items where pricing data for a certain grading service is not quite what you'd expect, we probably just haven't gathered enough sales yet for that service, and it will auto-correct in time. One clear pattern though, in all cases, is that pricing diverges strongly for graded versus ungraded items as the grades near the best possible in each category.

The new data is only accessed in the Pricing section of the site this month. Next month, when the new 3rd quarter pricing data is computed, we will re-total all your Collection and Salelist values (My Lists) to reference the new data. For those of you with many very high grade items in your collections, if they are uncertified, be prepared for a big drop in value.

Prizes

Don't forget, all you have to do is create a single Collection, Wantlist, or Salelist item during the appropriate month to qualify for our sweepstakes. Why not take a look and see what we're giving away (and gave away last month), free as always.

Thanks, we'll see you all next month.
