by Tommy Jasmin Sales history data now available! This month Nosto users get a first look at our new Sales Data History service. By drilling down to a specific item in the Pricing section of a given collectible category, users can now view a table showing recent confirmed sales by grade for that item. This service will prove useful to both buyers and sellers, showing examples of exact prices paid for an item of interest. In short, Nosto users are now getting a window into the sales data that drives the world-class Nostomania pricing. The value of such a service is clear to serious collectors. If you are considering the purchase or sale of a valuable collectible, what better information is there than real examples of recent sales for that collectible? Going forward, we will be putting significant effort into refining this service, based on user comments and requests. We will focus on formatting and usability as well as expanding the available functionality. As a result, after a two month free trial period, all detailed information in the Pricing section will become an optional, fee-based premium service, with a cost of $2.99 a month to access. The trial period starts August 1, 2004 for current Nosto members, and starts from the date of registration for future members. This very nominal fee will provide funding for continued development in all areas of the site, benefiting all users. If you decide after the trial period you do not want or need our premium service, simply do nothing! Nostomania's free collection management, electronic marketplace, and top-level pricing data will continue to be at your beck and call. If you decide that you would like to continue the premium service, instructions will be provided at that time on how to do so. Thanks to all who use and support the site as we expand and improve, we greatly appreciate it! Prizes Don't forget, all you have to do is create a single Collection, Wantlist, or Salelist item during the appropriate month to qualify for our sweepstakes. Why not take a look and see what we're giving away (and gave away last month), free as always. Thanks, we'll see you all next month. Visit our NostoNews Archive. |
